Historic Towns
Jamestown A small town, home to such landmarks as The Jamestown Hotel and Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. Jamestown offers wine tasting, fine dining, and the newly expanded Chicken Ranch Casino.
Sonora (3.6 mi) The “Queen of the Southern Mines”, take a walk downtown and enjoy a wide variety of shops, boutiques, and eateries. Tourists and locals alike enjoy walking the 3-mile long Dragoon Gulch Trail, or visiting the historic museums and shops in the downtown area.
Columbia (6.7 mi) Founded in 1850, the town of Columbia boasts a fully functioning Gold-Rush Era town complete with themed shops and dining. Go gold panning, ride the stage coach, or enjoy a cold, locally-made sarsaparilla in one of the town’s historic saloons.
Tuolumne (11.7 mi) A quaint town rich in logging and rail history, the annual Lumberjack Jubilee and the annual Acorn Festival bring crowds from all over.
